This place it’s temporarily closed for Mayor order. Ecological Hiking Tour through private manors in dry Andean jungle known as El Hayal.
The location is very special as it was used as ceremonial grounds by Muisca indigenous people. El Hayal waterfall is formed by the Salitrillo ravine and is 60-meters high. Its rocky formation is impressive and naturally creates an immense grotto accessible behind the waterfall that holds the ceremonial stone. The way back is adorned with views of the Moniquira canyon and the Paso del Angel.
Medium-low demand hiking tour with an elevation difference of 200 meters. It starts and ends at 2,100 meters above sea level and observes a decline towards 1,960 meters above sea level. It is ideal for any age group, even for mature travelers up to 72 years old, given good health conditions. Broken terrain over rolling hills. 50-minute vehicle transportation. Hiking duration of 2 hours. Temperate weather with probability of mild rains. Adequate clothes and trekking shoes are a must. Bathing clothes and towels are encouraged.
